The Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince DVD has apparently streeted already in some countries though we'll have to wait in the UK until December 7th, in the US until the 8th. Some industrious Potterheads have been hard at work scouring the special features, and booting up their screen capture software while they're at it. One little video programme on the disc gives a preview of the upcoming Wizarding World of Harry Potter themepark attraction, which is still under construction in Orlando, Florida.

Australian Potter fans will have plenty to entertain them today, as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been released in DVD and Blu-Ray formats today. US/UK fans have to wait until December 8th to receive their copies.

A Cromer grandmother helped raise thousands of pounds for charity this weekend when she bought her little grandson a rare Harry Potter book. The bidder, who wants to remain anonymous, paid £2,050 for the book at the White Horse pub's charity auction in Overstrand on Saturday night in aid of Cancer Research UK. Bruce Stratton, a spokesman for the pub, said the woman, who lives locally in north Norfolk, planned to give it to her first grandson as a gift and an investment.
